The Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Award in Practical Dog Training is part of the Canine Training and Behavior certificate has been developed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to pursue a career working in the canine care and welfare sector. It can be studied as a stand alone Award or as part of the Canine Training and Behaviour certificate.

The qualification Dog Training and Behaviour has been designed to enable learners to
- understand dog training instruction
- understand canine behaviour and communication
- run practical dog training sessions
- instruct dog training
- understand the role and place of dogs in society through the ages.
NOTE: The course is a combination of distance learning and two practical weekends
Canine Training and Behaviour also includes the Awards:
Practical Dog Training, Instructing Dog Training, Canine Behaviour and Communication and Dog Training Theory. Each which can be studied individually.
Entry requirements: This course is suitable for those working in Canine industry. Entrants must have completed the Open College Network West Midlands Practical Dog Training award or a similar course. Minimum age 18 years
